How to use Remove Image Metadata

  1. Choose your image.
  2. Adjust the settings for this task and create the result.
  3. Review the preview and file size, rename the output, then save or share it.

What to check before exporting

Pixel re-encoding omits original metadata such as GPS tags. It also removes embedded colour profiles; inspect the colours.

Output is limited to 16 megapixels and 8000 pixels per side. For animated inputs, image editing produces a static image. Browser-generated images are re-encoded and do not carry the original metadata or colour profile. Check colours and keep a separate original.

Processing and privacy

This operation processes your selected file in this browser. The image is not uploaded for the edit. Advertising and routine request metadata are covered by our privacy policy.
